Terms of use

Last updated:

These terms govern your use of AdsLibrary.org. By using the site or the downloader you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use them.

Who we are

This website is operated by AdsLibrary.org. It is a free website with a guide to the public ad libraries of Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google, and a downloader that fetches one public Meta ad page at a time, using the ad ID or ad link you paste in. We run it as an independent project, with no user accounts, no ad database and no paid plans.

AdsLibrary.org is an independent third-party site with tools and guides for public ad libraries. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta, TikTok, Google, LinkedIn or Microsoft.

Research use only

The site and its tools are for research and reference, for example to study how advertisers present their products. You may not use them to republish, sell or run as your own any ad you have downloaded, to harass or impersonate anyone, to defraud people, or to build a collection or database of other people's ads.

Service as is

We provide the site and the downloader free of charge, without an account, "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the downloader will work, that a particular ad can be retrieved, or that the information is complete or current. Platforms change their pages and features, and the downloader may stop working without notice.

We may change, limit or switch off any part of the service at any time, including the downloader. Switching off the downloader does not affect the rest of the site. We may update these terms; the date shown on this page is the date of the latest version.

Automated and bulk use

Do not use scripts, bots, scrapers or other automated tools to call the downloader or any other part of the site in bulk. The downloader handles one ad per request and limits each IP address to 10 requests per 60 seconds and 120 requests per hour. We may block traffic that does not respect these limits.

Third-party platforms and their terms

Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Google and the other platforms named on this site are third parties. They have no partnership with us and have not approved or endorsed this site. The ads, content, names and trademarks you see belong to the platforms and their advertisers.

Each platform sets its own terms, including its rules on automated access to its services. You are responsible for using the platforms, and anything you download through this site, in line with those terms and with the laws that apply to you.

Our pages link to third-party websites, including the platforms' own ad libraries and other sites we mention. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices. When you visit them, their own terms apply.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of profit, data or business, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or the downloader. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Takedown requests

If you are a rights holder or a platform and want an ad, a link or the downloader removed, see the Usage notice and write to legal@adslibrary.org. When we receive a notice from a rights holder or a platform about the downloader, we take the downloader offline.
